BMP vs HEIC: what changes when you convert
BMP (Bitmap Image File) was introduced in 1987 by Microsoft and is best known for legacy windows applications. HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container), created by the MPEG group; adopted by Apple in iOS 11, is the better choice when you need iphone camera photos (half the size of jpg at the same quality).
