How PurePDF.net protects your data

1. What data we process

• File conversions. Most tools run directly in your browser. Some conversions (such as Word ⇄ PDF, PPT ⇄ PDF, PDF to JPG/Excel) temporarily upload files to our servers so we can run the conversion stack. Files are deleted automatically after the job finishes or within 60 minutes, whichever comes first.
• Temporary share links. When you create a share code, we store the document securely in Cloudflare R2 with the metadata you provided. Expiration ranges from 10 minutes up to 24 hours (or permanent when you explicitly opt in). Expired files are purged during scheduled cleanups.
• Contact + issue reports. Messages submitted through the contact form or floating “Report a problem” widget include your message, optional contact info, page URL, locale, and browser details so we can troubleshoot bugs. Records live in our encrypted MongoDB cluster and are retained until the conversation is resolved.
• Operational telemetry. We track anonymized counts of conversions, errors, and feature usage to plan capacity. These metrics do not contain file contents.

2. Cookies, ads, and analytics

We rely on cookies to fund the service and understand which tools need improvements.

• Essential cookies remember upload progress or share sessions. They run regardless of consent and never carry advertising identifiers.
• Google and third-party advertising cookies personalize ads based on prior visits to PurePDF.net or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Ads Settings or the industry opt-out at aboutads.info.
• Other vendors, including Ezoic, may also set cookies to measure performance or run experiments. Links to each provider’s policy and opt-out instructions live in our Cookie Policy.

You can change or withdraw consent anytime using the “Cookie settings” button in the site footer.

3. How we use and share data

• Files are processed solely to deliver the requested tool output. We never sell or train models on your uploads.
• Contact and issue messages are used to respond to you and improve stability.
• Orderly logs help us detect abuse, keep the platform reliable, and comply with legal obligations.
• We share data only with service providers necessary to operate PurePDF.net (cloud storage, email, analytics, advertising) under strict contractual terms.

4. Retention and deletion

• Conversion files are deleted automatically after completion or within 60 minutes.
• Temporary shares expire per your selection (10, 30, 60 minutes, or 24 hours). Permanent shares can be deleted anytime via the share console or by emailing us.
• Contact + issue records are reviewed quarterly and removed once no longer needed for support.
• Analytics data is aggregated and does not include personal identifiers.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (EU/EEA, UK, California, and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you. Contact us and we will respond within 48 hours.

6. Changes to this policy

We update this page when we launch new tools, integrate new partners, or change how we handle data. The “last updated” date will always appear at the top. Continued use of PurePDF.net after changes means you accept the updated policy.
