How do I open a PSD file without Photoshop?

Can I save the PSD as an image?
Yes. Choose Export as PNG, JPG, WebP, TIFF or PDF and download the full-resolution design. PNG keeps transparency; in JPG, transparent areas become white.
Can I zoom in on the design?
Yes. Zoom from 5% to 1600%, fit it to the screen or view it at actual size, drag to pan, and switch between a transparency grid, white, or dark background. Ctrl or ⌘ with the scroll wheel zooms where you point.
Can I see or edit the layers?
No. The viewer shows the flattened design with every visible layer merged. Editing layers needs Photoshop or another layer-aware editor.
Why does my PSD say it has no flattened image?
Photoshop only stores it when "Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility" is on. Ask the sender to save the file again with that option set to Always, or to export a PNG.
Does it open PSB files?
No. PSB is Photoshop’s Large Document Format. Save a copy as PSD from Photoshop and open that instead.
What is the largest PSD it can open?
Up to 100MB and 64 megapixels (for example 8000 × 8000 pixels).
Are my files private?
The PSD is uploaded over encrypted HTTPS to be rendered, and deleted when you close or replace it. Anything left behind is removed automatically.
