PNG vs SVG: what changes when you convert
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) was introduced in 1996 by the PNG Development Group as a GIF replacement and is best known for logos, screenshots, UI graphics, images that need transparency. SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), created by the W3C, is the better choice when you need icons, logos, and illustrations that must stay sharp at any size.
